Mahj Garage offers American mahjong classes, private parties, corporate events, and fundraisers throughout Northwest Arkansas. Taught according to National Mah Jongg League (NMJL) standards, our instruction is friendly, engaging, and welcoming to all experience levels.

Mahj Garage is a Northwest Arkansas–based community where the joy of American mahjong brings people together. Founded on a passion for the game and the connections it creates, we offer engaging beginner lessons, guided play sessions, and thoughtfully curated mahjong events designed to build confidence, strategy, and community around the table.
Our offerings include beginner mahjong classes, open group play, in-home mahjong parties, corporate events, and fundraisers, all designed with you in mind. We teach according to National Mah Jongg League (NMJL) standards, and our instruction is friendly, warm, and engaging, perfect for players of all experience levels, from first-timers to seasoned tile-handlers.
At the heart of Mahj Garage is community: we believe in creating inclusive, welcoming spaces where everyone can learn, play, and connect. Whether you’re joining us for a class, hosting your own private event, or bringing mahjong to your organization or fundraiser, Mahj Garage makes it easy and fun. Everyone is welcome here, and we’re proud to serve the mahjong community across Northwest Arkansas.
Mahj Garage offers a 25% discount to public school employees in appreciation of their role in strengthening our communities through education. To receive your discount code, please email penny@mahjgarage.com. Proof of employment at a public school is required.
